April Bullet Journal Set Up

April showers bring May flowers and of course, a new April Bullet Journal set up. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus since Easter falls on April 20th this year. When you’re a daughter of the King there is a reason to celebrate.

If you’ve seen any of my previous bullet journal layouts you know how I love to rubber stamp in my bullet journal and this month was no exception. Alphabet stamps are the way to go if you want fancy lettering without the work. I had this Close to My Heart set of letters called “Playful Caps and Lowercase” letters. Playful is the perfect description. Then, I found this cute set of crowns and keys at a Tuesday Morning shop.  Do you have a Tuesday Morning near you? I always check out their craft aisle for stickers, stamps, and die cuts that are marked down. This set was only $3.99 and I couldn’t pass it up. I’m really loving the “Grateful, Thankful, Blessed sticker pack from Hobby Lobby. No doubt it will get put to good use.

My husband asked me the other day, “Why are you so happy? Why are you so at peace? You wanna know my reason? It’s JESUS. Plain and simple. He’s my friend, a confidant, the reason I have a new life, my savior, my rock, my King, and my ever-present help in trouble. Consequently, I run to him when I’m angry or frustrated. Yet, when something good happens he’s the first one I celebrate with. He protects me and is my constant companion. He is the model for how I want to live my life and he gives me hope. Above all, without him I am nothing. I want to live the abundant life he died and rose again to give me. He took the pain and agony of all my sin upon himself. God now sees me through the eyes of Jesus, pure, holy and without blemish. He has changed me from the inside out. My life has been impacted in so many amazing ways and I am a different person as a result. I can’t deny what he has done.

Have you ever seen “Passion of the Christ” directed by Mel Gibson? It’s a movie about Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. It’s not for the faint of heart or a movie I’d watch with kids, but it’s powerful and moving.

Here’s another moving video clip I hope you’ll take a minute to watch. The scenes in this video clip are from the movie Passion of the Christ. Every time I see it I get fired up with excitement and filled with hope.

Ever wonder how to choose a stamp set? I always ask myself this question. How many ways can I use this stamp set? I can use this set to make handmade cards, scrapbook pages, art journaling, bible journaling and of course bullet journaling. Can I justify purchasing every stamp set, well almost? For example, if you are looking at an oriental stamp set, or a baby stamp set you may not use it multiple ways.

I continue to use a simple weekly layout with a Top 3 for each day and time blocking broken down from 9 am to 7 pm. Picking out the Top 3 things I want to accomplish in a day is still challenging. I’ll give it another month to see if I can get in the grove. My color scheme is basic black and white with a little pop of pink.  I mixed in some black and white washi tape and tada, my April Bullet Journal Set Up is complete.

Finally, you’ll notice I stopped on April 29th, that’s because there are more days of the week in May than April so I’ll include that week with next months set up.
